Terms & Conditions

1. General

These Terms & Conditions apply to all quotes, work orders, and services provided by Avanti Carpentry & Maintenance.
By accepting a quote or booking a job, the customer agrees to these Terms & Conditions, unless otherwise agreed under an ongoing contract arrangement.

Quotes may be based on a site inspection, information provided, or images supplied. Image‑based quotes rely solely on what is visible and may change if additional issues are found onsite.
Quotes are valid for 14 days.
If hidden damage or unforeseen issues are discovered, work may pause while a revised quote is issued.
Estimates are indicative only and may vary depending on actual site conditions.

Avanti performs work as detailed in the accepted quote or work order.
In accordance with QBCC regulations, unlicensed building work will not exceed $3,300 including labour, materials, and GST.
Regulated trade work (electrical, plumbing, gas fitting, pest control, etc.) will only be carried out by licensed subcontractors.
Variations must be agreed to in writing and may incur additional charges.

No deposit is required unless custom or high‑value materials are needed.
Invoices are issued upon completion and are due within 7 days, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Late payments may incur a 5% monthly fee. Customers are responsible for any debt recovery costs.

Bookings can be made online, via phone, or email.
Rental property bookings will not be confirmed without a work order.
Customers/tenants must provide access. Key collection must be arranged prior to the appointment.
Safe, clear access to the work area must be provided.
Fragile items and personal belongings must be removed from the work area.
Pets and children must be kept away from the work zone.
Access to electricity, water, and toilet facilities must be provided.

Avanti services the areas listed on our website.
Additional travel fees may apply for out‑of‑zone locations or for urgent, priority, or after‑hours bookings.

Materials supplied by Avanti remain the property of Avanti until invoices are paid in full.
Avanti is not responsible for the suitability or warranty of customer‑supplied materials.
Custom‑ordered materials are non‑refundable once purchased.

All work is carried out with due care and skill in line with Australian Consumer Law.
No extended workmanship warranty is offered beyond ACL requirements.
Warranty does not cover wear and tear, misuse, intentional damage, or natural movement of materials after installation.

Avanti holds current Public Liability Insurance.
Avanti is not liable for damage to hidden or undisclosed structures, wiring, plumbing, or materials not visible prior to work commencing.
Avanti is not responsible for delays caused by suppliers, weather, access issues, or circumstances outside our control.

A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a booking.
Cancellations within 48 hours may incur a call‑out fee, plus the cost of any custom materials already purchased.
If Avanti must reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances, notice will be provided as early as possible.

If a dispute arises, both parties agree to attempt resolution through direct communication before taking external action.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by Queensland law.
